I went back to the US for Labor Day to visit my family and had a great time enjoying the warm weather, going on the boat, and seeing everyone! I loved seeing my parents dogs and getting lots of snuggles over the long weekend.

After my return, I submitted my visa extension paperwork, so I had to stay in the UK while that was getting sorted. Most of my friends were gone the second weekend of September, so I had a solo day on Saturday and I went to the Taylor Swift Exhibit at the Victoria & Albert Museum. It was a free exhibit showcasing Taylor’s outfits at a variety of stages in her Eras. I really enjoyed it because it took you through the museum and you could stop to see other artworks as well. It was a little crowded in places, but I had also chosen to go on the last Saturday of the exhibit in the mid morning, so I did that to myself! I then went for a spa night at Aire Ancient Baths, where I had an incredibly relaxing massage and spent a long time in the various pools they have (the salt pool is by far my favorite).
On Sunday, George and I went to a new local spot, Goodbye Horses, which was very hipster and the food was good. We picked a bit of a weird wine, but I would go back to try others because their wine list is extensive. We then went to Satan’s Whisker’s, George’s favorite cocktail bar & repeatedly named the best bar in London, followed by goodbye drinks for a friend at Auld Shillelagh (one of the best spots for Guinness). I fear that I am too old for Sunday Funday now because I was really feeling it on Monday!
The next week, I went to the Craft Beer Co. for a reunion with a friend, had a friend over for wine Friday night, and met up with a friend of my Dad’s Saturday night at Tattershall Castle. I hit my two year anniversary of living in London on the 12th, which was exciting! I worked a lot in September, so there weren’t many during the week activities I had and I took the rest of the weekends pretty easy because I found that I was quite exhausted. I did go to the Arsenal Women’s match against Manchester City at Emirates Stadium (it ended in a draw!), had Nando’s for the first time, and watched the Arsenal Men’s match at the Vineyard.

September flew by like the blink of an eye!
I’m dying that you said that you fear that you’re too old for Sunday FunDay….I never thought I’d hear you say this… maybe it was a weird fluke…. don’t give up!!!
