My birthday month was filled with friends, a trip to Greece, and so many fun memories! We got back from Sicily and had an easy first week of May because the rest of the month was going to be the best kind of chaos. My friends and I went to Santorini for my 30th, which will be a separate post! It was absolutely the best time of my life and several of my friends from the US made a trip out to Greece & then to London!
Fast forwarding to the middle of the month for their London leg of the trip, we went to the Tower of London to tour and walked around near the Thames. The Tower of London was haunting, as many people lost their lives there, but we also were able to see the crown jewels, which were stunning. We got drenched in a downpour and decided it was time for pints, so we went over to the Devonshire for some Guinness (one of the best in London) and El Camion for some chips & guac before heading to dinner at Zaika (fabulous Indian food).

I continued the 30th birthday celebrations in London and had some friends meet up at my favorite pub, The Alpaca! The next day, we hung at home & watched the new season of Bridgerton. We ventured out to Sourdough Sophia, a new bakery, had some coffee & pastries, and ended up leaving with matching sweatshirts! I was so sad to see my friends leave after we had the best time together and was very thankful they made the trip for my birthday.
After the whirlwind of Greece & visitors, I took the rest of the month relatively “easy.” My friends and I went to Victoria Park for a picnic because the weather was glorious, I went to a Paint & Sip night to celebrate Pride Month with my company, met my friend for our monthly trip to Marugame Udon, watched the worst movie ever (don’t recommend Atlas…), had US and UK book club to talk about Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl and had the best Caesar salad at Punch Tavern. It was a wonderful month filled with memories I will cherish for a lifetime.

Stay tuned for a longer Greece post! 🙂
