month two favorites

I’m going to keep making monthly favorites, mostly for ease of reference if I need to remember what I loved! Here are my top favorites in food, pubs, activities, etc. for month two. I’m going to keep it brief and link the blog posts below for further information.

food

  1. Trade for their grilled cheese, coffee, and pink smoothie, but I think everything is good here! It’s perfect hangover brunchy food.
  2. Brindisa for tapas in Battersea Power Station. I love a good tapas place and this one lived up to my expectations.
  3. The Slaughtered Lamb had the best halloumi sticks I’ve had here so far (these are the American equivalent of mozzarella sticks). The wings were also fantastic, as was the beer 😉

pubs

  1. Homeboy Bar!!!! I can’t get the links to work, but this is a fun Irish pub that I really enjoy. The bartenders are very friendly and the drinks are an 11/10!
  2. The Piano Works was so fun for live music and dancing. Piano bars have my heart and I will certainly be going back here.
  3. Vagabond Wine Bar had a clever set up, where you can walk around, pick out your wines, and fill your glass on your own. It was a fun way to try wines. It was in Battersea Power Station, near Brindisa.

activities

  1. Katie’s wedding!!!! I’ve said it a thousand times at this point, but there’s nothing better than seeing your best friend happy and in love. I could not have been happier to be standing by her side when she got married November 5th! I had so much fun and enjoyed my quick trip back to the states to see my friends and family!
  2. Ballie Ballerson was incredibly fun. I felt like a kid again at the ball pit and just had a wonderful time with Women in London Collective – I can’t wait to go to another one of their events!
  3. Cammas Hall Farm was a JOURNEY, but so worth it! The farm was adorable, I got some pumpkins, and I felt like I could have been in the states (other than the twenty minute treacherous country road walk). I’m thankful my friends were up for my crazy idea!
  4. BONUS: Moulin Rouge! I cannot believe how many emotions this musical made me feel! I enjoyed it incredibly and highly highly recommend going.
  5. BONUS 2: Throwing my Halloween Housewarming party was, without a doubt, one of the most fun parties I’ve had. Everyone dressed up and friend groups collided, which is always the best. I’ll be throwing a Christmas party too and I’m sure that’ll make the next monthly round up list! I feel so blessed to have made such wonderful friends here in a short amount of time. It has definitely made the transition easier.
